How can I help?

There are a number of ways you can be involved in pushing society towards Alternative Future #3. You can make a difference, all you need to do is get involved. If more people knew that, the world would be a better place. Here are some suggestions about how you can be involved and protect you and every one you know against those who push society towards Alternative Future #1 and Alternative Future #2.

  • Become Informed -- Don't get your news from one source. There is far too many infotainers (like Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather, etc.) and disinfotainers (like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh) in the media. After you have heard the news from several different sources (like your local news paper, 'National Public Radio,' 'Democracy Now!,' 'Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting,' and etc.), ask yourself the following questions:
    • What led up to the events that caused the story to make the news?
    • Who is gaining from the outcome of the event?
    • Who is loosing from the outcome of the event?
    • Is corporate America involved in the story and if so, how?
    • Who is promoting the news about the event?
    • Who would gain if the event was not reported?
After you have answered these questions, you will get an accurate account of what is actually going on. Never forget the two most important facts about the Mass Media. First, retractions never get as much attention as the misleading or erroneous story in the first place. And second, infotainers and disinfotainers make money whether the story is truthful or not. So remember, know your facts and be able to site where you found your evidence.
  • Share What You Know -- Once you know what's going on, tell those around you. Tell them where you found the information and encourage others to check out the information for themselves.
  • Vote! -- In the 1996 Presidential election, just a little over 1/3 of eligible voters bothered to go to the polls. In other words, a super-minority, white Americans over the age of 50, decided who would run this nation for the rest of us. When voter turnout is that low, it is not very difficult for the "Religious Right," CEOs, and Media Moguls to control elections at the local, state, and national levels to their advantage. This highly motivated, super-minority, work very hard to get their constituents to the polls to help push through candidates who might be agreeable to their agendas.
  • Debunk Mythology -- Ordering your world based on false assertions or mythology causes you to live a life in a fantasy world. According to Paul Trejo Summation of Hegel's PHENOMENOLOGY, "we can only know Reality when we have completely mastered the appearances, since the appearances (phenomena) partially hide and partially reveal Reality (noumena, Geist) in a peculiar manner." When someone spouts mythology, debunk it. If you don't, the 'myth' is perpetuated.
  • Practice What You Stand For -- Those who disagree with you will always be the first to point out your inconsistencies in order to discredit you, which in turn, discredits the evidence that you are trying to use to make your point.
