No, I am not an atheist. I do support the atheist position of separation of church and state. The concept of separation of church and state is one of the cornerstones of this country and it allows diversity to flourish. When the state promotes one religious tradition, regardless of how great its majority is, the state in turn discriminates against all other religious traditions. Discrimination is wrong, no matter where it occurs. In short, I beieve in humanistic religion, as defined by Erich Fromm, and fight against authoritarian religion.
